Set Up Your First Service

Services are the core of your GoConverso booking page. Each service represents something a client can book — a haircut, a training session, a consultation, a phone repair, and so on.

When clients visit your public page at goconverso.com/your-username, they see your list of available services with pricing, duration, and a Book Now button.

Auto-activated services

When you select your niche during onboarding, GoConverso automatically creates popular services for your industry. For example:

These come with suggested names, descriptions, pricing, and durations. You can edit, delete, or add to them at any time.

Auto-activated services save you time during setup. Think of them as starting templates — customize them to match your actual offerings and prices.

Adding a new service

From your dashboard at converso.pro, click Services in the sidebar navigation.

Click “Add Service”

Click the Add Service button to open the service creation form.

Fill in service details

Configure the following fields:

Duration options

Services can be set from 15 minutes to 8 hours, in 15-minute increments:

  • 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hour
  • 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours
  • Up to 8 hours for full-day services

Pricing

  • Set a fixed price in your chosen currency
  • The currency is configured in Dashboard > Settings
  • GoConverso supports 15+ currencies including USD, BRL, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, MXN, and more

Save the service

Click Save to create the service. It immediately appears on your public booking page.

Service categories

Categories help organize your services into logical groups. Clients see these categories as tabs or sections on your booking page.

How categories work:

  • Create categories like “Hair”, “Skin”, “Nails” (for a salon) or “Individual”, “Group”, “Assessment” (for a trainer)
  • Assign each service to a category
  • Services without a category appear in a default group
  • Categories are displayed in the order you define

Categories are automatically suggested based on your niche. A barber gets “Hair” and “Beard” categories, while a dentist gets “Preventive”, “Cosmetic”, and “Restorative”.

Category groups

GoConverso uses a category group system tied to your niche. Each niche has pre-defined category groups with relevant service categories inside them. This ensures your services are organized in a way that makes sense for your industry.

You can:

  • Use the suggested categories as-is
  • Rename categories to match your terminology
  • Create entirely new categories
  • Reorder categories to prioritize your most popular services

Configuring working hours

Working hours define when clients can book appointments with you. They’re set globally and apply to all services by default.

Go to Settings

Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Working Hours.

Set your weekly schedule

For each day of the week, configure:

  • Active / Inactive — Toggle whether you’re available that day
  • Start time — When your first appointment slot begins
  • End time — When your last appointment slot ends

Example schedule for a barber:

Set break times (optional)

Add lunch breaks or other recurring breaks so those time slots aren’t available for booking.

Working hours are configured once and apply to your entire schedule. Clients can only book during your active hours, and the booking page automatically shows available time slots based on your schedule and existing appointments.

The number of active services you can have depends on your plan:

Tips for great services

  • Be specific with names — “Men’s Haircut + Beard Trim” is better than “Combo”
  • Write clear descriptions — Explain what’s included so clients know what to expect
  • Set accurate durations — This ensures your calendar doesn’t double-book
  • Price competitively — Check local competitors and position accordingly
  • Use categories — Organized services look more professional and are easier to browse
  • Add your best services first — They appear at the top of your booking page
